# Red Valley

## Overview

Red Valley is one of the most popular dungeons in Chimera Online and serves as the primary source of Fame progression for both Cap 80 and Cap 130 players.

Each nation has its own version:

- Haku Red Valley
- Jede Red Valley

Players fight enemies that resemble members of the opposing nation and can earn Fame, powerful equipment, and valuable Elda Stones.

While Red Valley can be entered solo, it is commonly completed in parties due to its large number of enemies and aggressive monster behavior.

---

## Entry Requirements

### Dungeon Access
- Accessed through the Red Valley portal in Haku or Jede.
- No quest requirement is needed to enter.
- Parties of any size may enter.
- Solo entry is possible.

### Recommended Level
- Level 51+

Although there is no level restriction on entering, Red Valley monsters are approximately Level 60. Characters below Level 51 generally cannot hit them effectively.

---

## Time Limit

Red Valley is a timed dungeon.

- Dungeon duration: 45 minutes
- Quest duration: 45 minutes

If the timer expires:

- All players are removed from the dungeon.
- Active Red Valley quests fail.
- The dungeon must be restarted from the beginning.

A normal run usually takes less than 10 minutes for an experienced group.

---

## Fame Quests

Red Valley's Fame quests are purchased from the Locker NPC in Haku or Jede.

The quest cost is very low and only requires a small amount of Eld.

All three quests can be accepted simultaneously and progressed at the same time.

### Quest 1 – Weak Enemies

Defeat:

- 15 of Enemy Type A
- 15 of Enemy Type B
- 15 of Enemy Type C

Total: 45 kills

### Quest 2 – Strong Enemies

Defeat:

- 10 of Enemy Type A
- 10 of Enemy Type B
- 10 of Enemy Type C

Total: 30 kills

### Quest 3 – Bosses

Defeat:

- Boss 1
- Boss 2
- Boss 3
- Boss 4

Each boss only needs to be defeated once.

---

## Fame Rewards

### Cap 80

Fame rewards decrease as the player's Fame increases.

| Current Fame | Reward |
|-------------|----------|
| Below 30,000 | 3,000 Fame |
| Below 60,000 | 2,500 Fame |
| Below 100,000 | 2,000 Fame |
| 100,000+ | No further Fame |

At Cap 80, Red Valley serves as the primary method of obtaining the Fame required for endgame PvP equipment.

### Cap 130

At Cap 130, Red Valley remains one of the most important Fame sources.

- Approximately 90,000 Fame per run.
- Daily Fame limit: 1,500,000 Fame.

For many players, Red Valley becomes a mandatory part of daily progression.

---

## Monster Behavior

Red Valley monsters have a unique mechanic.

Once a monster is aggroed:

- It will continue chasing the player indefinitely.
- Monsters do not naturally reset.
- They stop only when:
  - The player dies, or
  - The monster dies.

This mechanic often results in large trains of enemies following players throughout the dungeon.

---

## Red Valley Guards

Red Valley provides NPC assistance through special guards.

### Guard Spawn

- One guard is spawned per party.
- First guard appears after approximately 1 minute.
- Additional guards spawn every 10 minutes.

### Guard Abilities

Guards are extremely powerful and can:

- Use strong skills.
- Deal heavy damage.
- Assist with boss fights.
- Assist with large enemy groups.

Guard kills count toward quest progress.

### Important Limitation

If a guard kills a monster:

- Quest credit is granted.
- Item drops are not shared.
- The guard effectively claims the drop.

Because of this, players seeking loot should contribute damage themselves whenever possible.

### Guard Death

Guards can be defeated.

If a guard dies, players must wait for the next scheduled guard spawn.

---

## Bosses

Red Valley contains four bosses.

Each boss represents a class from the opposing nation.

Characteristics:

- Four total bosses.
- No respawns.
- Different appearances depending on the nation's version of Red Valley.

All four bosses are required for the third Fame quest.

---

## Rewards

### Level 7 Elda Stones

Every monster in Red Valley can drop:

- Level 7 Elda Stones

These are among the strongest Elda Stones available during Cap 80 progression.

### Fame Equipment

Bosses can drop powerful Fame equipment.

Notable rewards include:

- Fame Set pieces
- PvP Helmets
- PvP Rings
- PvP Necklaces

The Fame Set is one of the most important equipment sets during Cap 80 progression.

Because the set scales well through enhancements, it often remains useful until the end of Cap 80 and is considered mandatory equipment for serious PvP progression.

---

## Death and Re-Entry

Dying inside Red Valley does not fail the dungeon.

Players may:

- Return to town.
- Recover.
- Re-enter the same Red Valley instance.

Progress remains intact as long as the dungeon timer has not expired.

This makes solo progression possible, although significantly slower.

---

## Dungeon Reset Mechanics

Red Valley resets when:

- No monsters remain alive.
- No players remain inside.

Players can also force a fresh instance by:

- Creating a new party.
- Relogging (if entered without a party).

---

## Solo vs Party Play

### Party Play

Recommended for:

- Fast Fame farming.
- Boss farming.
- Daily Cap 130 Fame runs.

Typical completion time:
- Under 10 minutes.

### Solo Play

Possible from Level 51 onward.

Expect:

- Multiple deaths.
- Heavy reliance on guards.
- Much longer completion times.

While inefficient, dedicated players can still complete Red Valley entirely on their own.

---

## Why Red Valley Matters

### Cap 80

Red Valley is essential because:

- Fame Set equipment drops here.
- Fame Set progression defines much of Cap 80 PvP.
- Fame rewards provide the Fame needed for endgame gear.

### Cap 130

Red Valley remains relevant because:

- It provides one of the largest Fame gains available.
- Daily Fame progression is capped at 1.5 million Fame.
- Consistent Red Valley farming is a major part of long-term character progression.

For both level caps, Red Valley remains one of the most important and most frequently visited dungeons in Chimera Online.
